Randall has over 25 years experience in senior management, corporate finance, private equity, business development and merchant banking. He has held executive positions in public and private enterprise and has led public, private and nonprofit boards through transition while attaining particular depth of expertise in diverse industry sectors that include software, financial services, financial technology and others.
Randall is currently the Senior Managing Director, COO of Cantor Fitzgerald, one of the world's pre-eminent capital markets investment banks. Previously, he was Managing Director at Meridian Capital LLC, a private Seattle-based investment banking firm focused on providing merger and acquisition and strategic financial advisory services to middle-market companies.
In 2003 Randall founded and became Managing Partner at SCM Capital Group LLC, a strategic advisory and investment banking firm specializing in strategic advisory services, mergers and acquisitions and capital formation for middle market clients in the software, financial technology and financial services sectors. Partnering with clients, Randall often serves on the board or in an executive role with client companies. Randall currently holds a C-level position with a litigation support software company.
From 2003-2007, Randall served as Chairman & CEO of LIONMTS, a Seattle, WA based publicly traded financial technology company where he reengineered the company’s business model, orchestrated growth organically and through acquisition, increased institutional investor ownership and visibility, and significantly increased liquidity.
Prior to that Randall spent many years as a senior executive in large, regional and boutique investment banking companies. Randall served as Managing Director of Investment Banking of D.A. Davidson & Co., a regional investment bank, from 2001 to 2003 where he was responsible for building and managing the firm’s Seattle based corporate finance business. For the prior five years Randall was a founding partner of a New York based diversified merchant bank specializing in strategic advisory work and direct investment in opportunistic situations. Randall orchestrated, integrated and led the roll up of several specialty finance firms during that period and through sale of the organization. Additionally, Randall served as CEO or sat on the board of client companies in which the firm invested.
Randall previously spent 8 years at Greenwich Capital Markets, Inc., a Greenwich, CT based investment bank where as Senior Vice President he responsible for leading the firm’s specialty finance advisory and securitization initiatives. During the time, Randall also headed the firm’s advisory assignment with the Resolution Trust Corporation following which the firm became one of the largest acquirers of assets sold by the RTC. Randall also spent 3 years at CS First Boston in its fixed income division responsible for originating, securitizing and distributing a variety of asset classes. Randall began his career at GE Capital Corp. where he spent 6 years in progressively more visible operating roles. Randall graduated from the University of Washington in 1979 with a degree in finance and sits on the board of directors of public and privately held companies as well as non-profit charitable organizations.
